Flash Flooding

Several inches of rain has fallen in the last 48 hours in the northeast Mississippi area and beyond. Some areas may be completely under water, especially in low lying areas. The ground is saturated, remember to keep your vehicle on the pavement or solid ground, as it could become stuck. Also, watch when driving in wooded areas, as some trees could have lost root systems due to water erosion and fallen or be leaning. Never cross a flooded roadway.
