Special Weather Statement issued September 29 at 5:07AM CDT by NWS Memphis


...Patchy Dense Fog Across Portions of the Mid-South This Morning... Patchy dense fog may impact travel across the MO Bootheel, west TN, and northeast MS early this morning, especially near lakes and rivers. Visibility will be less than 1/2 mile in some spots. Drivers are advised to slow down and be alert for rapidly changing conditions. Allow extra time to reach your destination. The fog will burn off around 9 AM.

A watch is used when the risk of a hazardous weather or hydrologic event has increased significantly, but its occurrence, location or timing is still uncertain.
