Woods Fire

3/28/23: 14:51: Truck 6, Engine 1, and Rescue 7 respond to a call in to the station of a woods fire on County Road 601. On arrival, crews found about 5 acres of live burn nearing a camper and storm shelter. Gusting winds and steep terrain made extinguishment difficult, but fire crews worked the fire line and contained until arrival of Mississippi Forestry Fire Crews that bulldozed a fire line around the perimeter. No loss of residential property was reported.
