Red Flag Warning issued February 14 at 3:31PM CST until February 15 at 6:00PM CST by NWS Memphis


...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 6 PM CST TUESDAY FOR STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS...LOW HUMIDITY...AND LOW FUEL MOISTURE FOR ALL OF NORTH MISSISSIPPI... The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 10 AM to 6 PM CST Tuesday. * WIND...Southerly winds near 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph. * HUMIDITY...minimum relative humidity near 25 percent. * 10 HOUR FUEL MOISTURE...less than 10 percent. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A warning is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely.

A watch is used when the risk of a hazardous weather or hydrologic event has increased significantly, but its occurrence, location or timing is still uncertain.

An advisory is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely.
