Remembering Gene Pannell

Today we remember Lt. Gene Pannell. Lt. Pannell passed on this date two years ago. The picture in this post was taken December 7, 2021 after the Christmas parade in Ripley, and would be the last Christmas he would spend with his fire department family. Gene served as an officer at our station, was dedicated to the mission of helping others, and simply loved being around his crew at Dry Creek. Our flags fly at half mast today in his memory.
